Pacquiao batters sparring partner

/ 10:52 PM October 03, 2013

Manny Pacquiao gave Fredrick Lawson a sampling of what to expect in the coming days yesterday, turning the unbeaten Ghanian into a bewildered amateur in their first sparring session at Wild Card Gym in Gen. Santos City.

After taking on local middleweight Marlon Alta for two rounds, Pacquiao decided to let Lawson (21-0, 19 KOs) prove his mettle in the next two rounds.

Lawson got a rude awakening, according to Filipino trainer Nonoy Neri.

“He (Lawson) doesn’t know what to do when Manny rained punches on him,” said Neri, who bared that Pacquiao also did his early morning run and underwent isometrics in the afternoon.
