Four teams try to prop up their faltering campaigns in the PBA D-League Aspirants Cup today at Ynares Sports Arena in Pasig City.

Boracay Rum and Arellano-Air 21 try to snap out of a three-game losing spell in their 2 p.m. battle while Derulo Accelero seeks a follow-up to its breakthrough win in the 4 p.m. duel versus Wangs Basketball.

Only six of the 14 teams will advance to the next round  with the top two earning outright semifinal berths.

Wangs coach Pablo Lucas said it would be a steep climb for his Couriers, who are in the bottom half of the standings  along with today’s three other competing squads.

“From where we are right now, it looks tough but we’re not thinking about it,” Lucas said of the newcomer Couriers, who only have two wins to show in six games. “Our mindset at the moment is to rebound and get back on track.”
