Powerhouse La Salle rules jungolf finale

MANILA, Philippines – La Salle flexed its might by winning six of the seven divisions in the ICTSI-JGFP National Interschool championships national grand finals at the Player course of Orchard Golf and Country Club in Dasmariñas, Cavite.

La Salle teams scored one blowout win after another, missing just the Midgets 1 crown which it yielded to Learning Links, to underscore its domination of the six-month series that featured almost a thousand junior players from Metro Manila, Visayas and Mindanao.

La Salle Green Hills capped the mighty green show by placing 1-2 in the juniors class where Miggy Yee, AR Ramos, Luigi Guerrero and Dennis Ojeda picked up the crown.

De La Salle University topped the Seniors division by 22 points, De La Salle Zobel was unchallenged in Girls 1, De La Salle Zobel captured both Girls 1 (40 points) and 2 (109) also in runaway fashion and LSGH also prevailed in Midgets 2 by 33 for the other La Salle wins.

Eric Gallardo, Gino Bunyi and Allan Bumagat pooled 296 for the seniors title; Jolo Magcalayo, Miguel Ilas, Victor Advincula and Gabriel Bolivar posted 175 for the Midgets 2 plum; Bernice Ilas, Sofia Chabon, Nicole Abelar and Jona Magalayo claimed the Girls 3 title with 209; Pauline del Rosario and Mikhaela Fortuna took the Girls 2 crown with 208 and Sunshine Baraquiel, Keena Puzon and Michelle Chua ruled Girls 1 with 133.

The 290 of Learning Links’ Luis Castro, Wiggham Tapdasan and Carlo Villaroman was good for a 40-point win in Midgets 1.
