Shakey’s V-League debut for SSC, FEU
MANILA, Philippines — San Sebastian and Far Eastern U collide in an early battle of contenders, even as St. Louis University makes its Shakey’s V-League debut in the Season 11 First Conference at Filoil Flying V Arena in San Juan.
Coming off disappointing campaigns in their respective collegiate leagues, the Lady Stags and the Lady Tamaraws begin their road to redemption in the 4 p.m. showdown.
Baguio-based SLU will also be under the microscope as it starts its campaign against Cebu powerhouse Southwestern University at 2 p.m.

The Lady Cobras are unveiling unheralded guest players Frances Karen Derder and Lutgarda Malaluan along with mainstays Janelle Cabahug, Therese Rae Ramas, Loide Abellana, Sheena Quino, Rose De La Llana, Mae Pacinio, Dyan Darantinao and Marlyn Llagoso.
Landing in a tough group with Ateneo, Adamson, Arellano U and St. Benilde, Southwestern U also hopes a strong start will help its cause to reach the next round. Only the top four teams in the group will advance to the quarterfinals.
