NCA world derby slated
THE INTERNATIONAL derby billed as the world’s toughest and most prestigious sizzle on May 13, 15 and 17 at Ynares Sports Arena in Pasig.
The National Cockers Alliance (NCA) World Championship Derby has again lured a stellar cast of international cockers, including Americans Dan Gray and Tom Wilson, that will battle the Philippines’ Who’s Who of cockfighting.
The Filipino winner of the international derby will have a huge edge in the NCA Cocker of the Year race, currently paced by Efren Canlas and Jimafer with 59.5 points.
Meanwhile, the entry “BM 88 Mabilasik” of Ka Luding, Katchie Pesebre and Rey Soberano topped the NCA’s regular derby last Tuesday with 6 points, a full point ahead of second-placer “Phoenix/Juliana” of Mario Villamor and Johnny Tirdas.
