Fabian, Doblada rule bikes series leg 2
REIGNING underbone King Niño Fabian and Paul Mark Doblada grabbed top honors in the second leg of the 2014 FDR Underbone King Championship and FDR Philippine Scooter Racing Championship Series recently at Batangas Racing Circuit.
Fabian captured the premier 150cc Open crown of the Underbone King Championship while Doblada emerged 180cc PSR champion.
Fabian shook off the challenge of John Emerson Inguito, who stuck behind him throughout the nine-lap race, and beat him by just 0.002 of a second.
Article continues after this advertisementHerbert Lopez and Johnlery Enriquez checked in third and fourth, respectively. Doblada wound up fifth.
Doblada started in pole position and completed the eight-lap race in 16 minutes and 27.182 seconds.
Runner-up Josh Reuben Tan was 1.675 seconds behind.
Article continues after this advertisementSharing the spotlight in the Underbone races were Vrei-AR Suba (115 Open) and James Aeron Amporias (115cc Novice) while other Scooter champions were Aljon Valencia (160cc) and Robert Tolentino (130cc). Other winners were Eane Jaye Sobretodo (Honda Beat), McKinley Kyle Paz (Honda Dash, MTRT Club 115cc Scooter) and John Withmer Arnaiz (MTRT Club).
