Triple V-Media golf tomorrow
THE 27TH EDITION of the Triple V-Media invitational golf classic finally gets going tomorrow at Camp Aguinaldo golf course.
The dual meet between Media and the Kamayan Golf Club for the Tito Eduque Cup will resume after it was canceled last year and postponed twice this year, all because of bad weather and calamities.
The event was originally scheduled on Aug. 26, birthday of Eduque, the late chair of the Triple V Group of restaurants.
Article continues after this advertisementKamayan golfers, who will be seeking to retain the Eduque Cup, have dominated the series since it started in 1987. Media, however, has managed to score a few wins, the last in 2011 when it beat Kamayan by 42 strokes.
The dual meet is part of the anniversary celebration of the Triple V group, which includes Kamayan, Saisaki, Dad’s, Triple V Express and its latest brand, Sambo Kojin.
It will be played over 18 holes with the top 10 scorers of each club counting toward the team score.
