Heavy hitters to compete in Bataan International Triathlon
Final preparations are underway for the Bataan International Triathlon, which is set on November 29-30 at the picturesque Las Casas Filipinas de Acuzar in Bagac, Bataan.
The inaugural race now has drawn over 600 participants composed of both seasoned and novice triathletes from all over the Philippines and even abroad. Some of triathlons biggest names, both locally and internationally, are gearing up for the inaugural event.

Their varied fields of specialization will make for an interesting outcome of the men’s race–Nikko’s short-course experience will be pitted against Arland and Noy’s long-course pedigree and Joseph’s off-road expertise.
Aside from the Filipino elites, Bi3 will also see Xterra stars Ben Allen of Australia and Jacqui Slack of the United Kingdom on the start line. Neither are strangers to the Philippine triathlon scene as both had raced in Ironman 70.3 Philippines and 5i50 Philippines in 2013 and have been staples at Xterra Philippines since 2012.
