CAGAYAN Valley and PLDT Home Telpad clash in a virtual battle for the second finals berth while Rizal Technological University tries to keep its title hopes alive in the men’s division of the Shakey’s V-League Season 11 Third Conference at Filoil Flying V Arena.

Tied at second with identical 2-2 records, the Rising Suns and Turbo Boosters duel at 4 p.m., with the winner likely advancing to the finals against Army.

The Lady Troopers clinched the first finals berth with a gutsy five-set win over the Rising Suns last Thursday night.

RTU is also hoping to stay in the fight for the second finals berth as it battles a Far Eastern U team that is already out of contention.

FEATURED STORIES

With a 1-3 slate, the Blue Thunder can still forge a playoff for the last championship slot if they beat the Tamaraws today and Systema on Tuesday.

The Active Smashers have the inside track for No. 2 with a 3-1 slate but they have yet to face a resurgent Instituto Estetico Manila squad. Just a single win in their last two games can forge a Systema-IEM finals duel.

The Turbo Boosters will be facing a more formidable Cagayan squad with the addition of Thai standouts Saengmuang Patcharee and Amporn Hyapha in the Rising Suns roster. The two Thais missed the first three games due to the lack of a transfer certificate.
