CARMONA, Cavite—The Philippines put three karters at the pole for today’s race as Bobby Domingo of Formula-E Racing, Seaoil-DC karter Gabriel Tayao Cabrera and Eduardo Coseteng Jr. of Eagle Cement ruled the qualifying for their respective classes yesterday in the third round of the 2014 Asian Karting Open Championships Series at Carmona Racetrack in Cavite.

Domingo, who recently captured the 2014 Petron Karter of the Year, clinched the top position in the premiere Formula Open 125 Seniors class of this event. He qualified first with a top time of 44.386 seconds.

Cabrera likewise fortified his hunt for the prestigious distinction as Asian Karting King as he copped the top spot in the Formula Open 125 Juniors division.

Coseteng will start first in the Asian Mini-ROK class as he faces another tough battle against Bianca Bustamante of Formula-E Racing.
