Intercollegiate softball: Adamson, UP unbeaten
Reigning champion Adamson and University of the Philippines swept past their respective rivals to stay unbeaten in the 2014 Cebuana Lhuillier National Intercollegiate Women’s Softball Championship in Marikina.
The Lady Falcons whipped National University, 5-0, and Central Luzon State University, 13-3, for their fourth straight victory in Group A.
Not to be outdone, the Lady Maroons kept top spot in Group B with wins over Rizal Technological U, 1-0, and Ateneo, 5-4.
The Lady Bulldogs stayed second in Group A with a 2-1 record followed by Bulacan State University, which posted its first win in three games with a 7-3 toppling of CLSU.
University of Sto. Tomas is at 1-1 after besting Ateneo, 12-6.
UE’s Group A game with Bulacan State U was postponed due to bad weather yesterday.
