Tight UFCC Stagfighter of the Year race resumes today
AFTER last Tuesday’s seventh One-Day 6-Stag Derby of the Ultimate Fighting Cock Championships (UFCC) Blue Group, the same group of elite breeders and cock fighters collide anew at Makati Cockpit & Sports Arena today for the final phase of their battles that began three months ago.
The race for the UFCC Stag Fighter of the Year plum likewise got more interesting after erstwhile leader Spartans Grego of Rey Briones and Greg Gorospe failed to break away after scoring only one point and dropping to second place with 25 points.
Kap. Max Roxas’ Paniqui Max AA eked out four additional points for 25.5 points to grab the top spot, while Gov. Eddie Bong Plaza’s EP Roosterville, now with 25 points, moved up from fifth to a tie for second place as Gerry Ramos’ GRB Combined stepped down to third from second.
Meanwhile, the UFCC Red Group will clash in the last two legs of Stagwars, being hosted by UFCC in cooperation with Thunderbird Platinum, Thunderbird Bexan XP, Resorts World Manila and Solaire Resorts & Casino, at Pasay Cockpit on Dec. 15 and 18.
