Fifa Goal project 3 breaks ground at SLLP

MANILA Jockey Club, Inc. and the Philippine Football Federation recently held a groundbreaking ceremony for the Fifa Goal Project 3 at San Lazaro Leisure Park in Carmona, Cavite.

The centerpiece of the project is an artificial turf pitch which passed Fifa (international football association) standards.  The proposed National Football Training Center is also under way.

The event coincided with the 60th anniversary of the Asian Football Confederation in Manila.

The two-star pitch will be the main training ground of the national football teams. Support facilities such as dormitories and training rooms are also in the works. Plans for a football-specific stadium will enable the venue to host international friendlies and other Fifa-sanctioned matches.

MJC likewise plans to build additional football pitches.
