BEST: Xavier leads NCR bid

THE MILO Basketball Efficiency and Scientific Training (BEST) Center Small Basketeers of the Philippines (SBP)-Passerelle Twin Tournaments is set to cap its 2014 season at the Magis Eagles Arena of Sacred Heart School-Ateneo de Cebu this weekend.

Xavier School, which will lead NCR’s bid for a golden double, banners eight of the nation’s best junior basketball teams that will go head-to-head for the coveted division crowns.

Xavier will face regional rivals Berkeley School of Baguio (Luzon), Ateneo de Iloilo (Visayas), and Faith Christian School of Bukidnon (Mindanao).

Vying for the Passerelle championship title are Chiang Kai Shek College (NCR), University of the Visayas (Visayas), Holy Child School of Davao (Mindanao) and Holy Angel School of Pampanga (Luzon).

“We are anticipating another exciting finale filled with talent, sportsmanship, and team work from our young champions. Every year, we witness the players bring the best out of one another,” said Robbie De Vera, Milo Sports Executive. “This tournament remains a major platform for young basketball players to help them progress to the professional league. We are confident that the experience will help in their formation as well-rounded individuals.”
