The partnerships of Jerry Tanchuan-Nilo Ocampo and Raymund Sangil-Marty Ilagan shared top honors by winning the overall net and overall gross titles in the recent Founders Cup Invitational golf member-guest tournament of Orchard Golf and Country Club in Dasmariñas, Cavite.

First-round leaders Tanchuan and Ocampo hung tough to finish with 136 points for the low net plum while Sangil and Ilagan defended their gross title with 110.

Jenz Tecson and Joey Solis made an almost improbable comeback to clinch Group A (handicap 0-11), Roel Rafael and Francis Edward Francisco coasted to victory in Group B (handicap 12-15), Joey Pontejos-Marc Reyes prevailed in a countback for the Group C crown, Dino Gasmen-Vicente Valdez emerged the top team in Group D, and Adrian Mauricio and Ruben Reyes II ruled the sponsors division.

About P6 million worth of prizes were disputed including a Mercedes-Benz C200 Avantgarde and a Mazda CX-5 Pro SkyActive which were staked as hole-in-one prizes.

Tecson made five birdies and chipped in for eagle on the 18th as he and Solis edged the Korean tandem of Oh Jie-sik and Lee Tong-hwa, 127-126. Rafael-Francisco beat Las Piñas Vice Mayor Luis Bustamante and Camilo Padua, 132-128; Pontejos-Reyes tallied a 129 like Ben Baniel and Nick Guzman but won the tiebreak and Gasmen-Valdez bested Wei Chen Lai and Wen Li Kuo, 131-130.
