Tough NCA derby gets going next week

COCKFIGHT aficionados prepare for the NCA World Championship Derby that will kick off on Jan. 13, 15  and 17 at the Ynares Sports Arena in Pasig City.

The NCA World Championship Derby is also famously known as the “Olympics of cockfighting.”

Top American breeders Dan Grey, Oscar Akins, Roger Robert, Tom Wilson and Larry Whitehead are attending the derby.

Well-known cockfighters and supporters who are invited to this action-packed event are  Cesar Dy, Ricky Magtoto, James Uy, Gerry Fevidal, Nestor Gualberto, Romy Lim, Ray Tambis,  Toto Sevilla, JR Tolentino, Jomar Hizon, Bobby Mailig, Alex Escalona, Jun Diamante, Efren  Canlas, RJ Mejia, Sonny Lagon, Claude Bautista, and many more.

Meanwhile, the Ynares Sports Arena  was filled with cheers recently during the NCA 6-cock derby’s second leg happened. Ramon Mancenares beat more than 30 entries for the crown.
