Hapee tests Jumbo five; MJM tries to stay in hunt

After another 10-day break, Hapee coach Ronnie Magsanoc hopes his wards remain sharp as they try to keep their record perfect in the PBA D-League Aspirants Cup.

The Fresh Fighters shoot for a 10th straight win against Jumbo Plastic today at JCSGO Gym.

The game at 2 p.m. is equally important for the Giants who are bidding to gain a twice to beat advantage in the quarterfinals.

With a 6-3 record, the Giants are in fourth spot and another win could virtually secure them the edge in the next round where they will face the fifth-ranked team after the elimination round.

Holding a slim chance to reach the next round, MJM Builders tangles with Racal Motors at 12 noon. The Builders, with a 3-6 card, are seeking to sweep their remaining games while hoping Cebuana and Tanduay Light drop their assignments to gain a playoff for a quarterfinal berth.

Bread Story-Lyceum also hopes to stay in the fight for a quarterfinal spot as it clashes with MP Hotel at 4 p.m.
