Young Anton rules Touge Battle race

/ 12:15 AM January 25, 2015

YOUNG racer Iñigo Anton of Castrol-Yokohama Racing Team topped the race car division up against older rivals in the recent Touge Battle at Clark International Speedway.

The 10-year-old son of racing champion Carlos Anton qualified second and had to battle it out to edge Miko Sy of Manila in order to make it to the finals.

There, he turned back top qualifier and 2012 Group 3 Hill climb Champion Borek Fallorin of Team GR Tuning after mustering a perfect start to secure the biggest win of his career to date.    “I’m so happy to win and I thank the Lord for giving me this opportunity to be able to race even if I am just 10,” the young Anton said after the race.

“Iñigo did something today that is almost beyond belief. To be up against top racers and win shows how much talent he has.  We hope Mark Young Racing, Works-Bell and Mohspeed continue to support,” Carlos Anton said.
