Injured Manuel, Abueva sit out as Aces take beating from Batang Pier
MANILA, Philippines — Injuries continue to hit Alaska’s campaign in the 2015 PBA Commissioner’s Cup.
It was obvious that the Aces sorely missed the services of their key cogs in the 95-73 blowout loss to Globalport Tuesday night.

Manuel and Abueva both missed the Aces’ game against the Batang Pier.
Both sustained their respective injuries in a win over NLEX last Saturday after banging their knees against the knee brace of the Road Warriors’ import Al Thornton.

Apart from a hurting knee, Abueva is also nursing a flu and was sent home in the first half of the match against the Batang Pier to rest.
Minus the bulk of its core that led them to the Philippine Cup Finals last January, the Aces staggered to its second setback in three outings.
