UST claims 3rd straight Dickies hoops victory

MANILA, Philippines—University of Santo Tomas streaked to its third straight win by outlasting Adamson, 69-63, even as Centro Escolar University-Café France cemented its hold of the lead in the Smart-PCABL 4th Dickies Cup last Sunday at Philippine Buddhacare gym in Quezon City.

Candice Magluyo scored a game-high 15 points but it was Sofie Felisarta who struck hardest for the Tigresses scoring six of her 11 points in the pivotal fourth period that kept the Lady Falcons at bay.

UST evened its record to 3-3 to forge a three-way tie with University of the East and Ateneo-San Miguel Corporation.

The league-leading Lady Stallions notched its fifth win in the double-round eliminations by crushing Ateneo, 69-52, behind Janine Pontejos and Mary Ann Dologue.
