Mayweather leaves fight promoting to Pacquiao

MANILA, Philippines—With the glamorous prefight conference done, Floyd Mayweather Jr. is happily contented to hand over the promotional reins to his opponent Manny Pacquiao.

According to Yahoo!’s Kevin Iole, Mayweather will turn his focus on training and let Pacquiao “sell” the fight.

“This fight will sell itself, which is a great thing,” Mayweather told Iole.

Pacquiao and Mayweather met for the first time in a formal event in Los Angeles’ Nokia Theater to hype the, arguably, biggest fight in boxing history.

And with that kind of pressure, Mayweather considered his fight against Pacquiao the biggest of his career.

“He’s [Pacquiao] doing a lot of media, talk shows, which is great. I prefer him to do it so I can train,” Mayweather said.
