Malacañang, Judiciary try to seal titular battle
MALACAÑANG and Judiciary try to seal a title showdown when they go up against separate rivals at the start of the best-of-three semifinal series of the 3rd UNTV Cup tomorrow at Ynares Sports Arena in Pasig City.
The Malacañang Patriots clash with the defending champions Armed Forces of the Philippines Cavaliers at 3 p.m. while the Judiciary Magis tackle the Senate Defenders at 4:30 p.m.
For finishing 1-2 at the end of the elimination, both the Patriots and the Magis need to win just once to arrange a a title duel

Aside from their twice-to-beat bonus, the Patriots will troop to the court enjoying a big psychological advantage, having beaten the defending champions in the first round of elimination, 79-76.
Out to provide the offensive clout for the Patriots are Melvin Verches, Andro Requez, Paul Anthony Yamamoto and Tesda Secretary Joel Villanueva.
