Anton rules FORS shakedown
IÑIGO Anton once more flaunted his potentials as he topped the time sheets to capture the Class C crown in the Flat Out Race Series (FORS) shakedown event held recently at Clark International Speedway.
The 10-year-old son of multi-titled Carlos Anton clocked 2 minutes and 23.070 seconds on the third lap to clinch the title.
Anton battled through car problems in the morning warm up when the axle shaft in his Mark Young-Works Bell prepared EG failed. He made it just in time for the first race.
Article continues after this advertisementHis time was good enough to edge Paolo Rodriguez (2:23.611) and Kitz Ferrer (2;24.243).
“I am so happy we got a good time right away. I thought we would not be able to race,” Anton said.
The following day, Anton raced in the Touge Battle also in Clark where he finished third in the Race Car Open behind Miko Briones and Niño Garcia.
Anton’s teammate, Miggy Sohu, topped Class E, recording his first win in Time Attack Racing while older brother Gab placed second in Class B.
