LiverMarin notches first franchise win, dismantles MP Hotel
MANILA, Philippines—LiverMarin notched its first franchise win in the PBA D-League as they dispatched MP Hotel, 82-68, in their Foundation Cup matchup Thursday afternoon at Ynares Sports Arena in Pasig.
It was a virtual no-contest as the Guardians immediately jumped to the lead and never looked back after their 10-2 start.
LiverMarin head coach Rodney Santos felt that their game against the now 1-3 Warriors was the one that they will finally get.
Article continues after this advertisement“I was excited for this game because this is the one that I felt that we will finally win,” Santos said whose Guardians tied the Warriors record. “Hopefully the wins continue.”
LiverMarin finally took command early in the third with a 47-25 lead.
Choi Ignacio and Jovit dela Cruz led the Guardians combining for 29 points and nine rebounds.
