Judiciary rules UNTV Cup

/ 03:56 AM April 30, 2015

Judiciary got the usual numbers from its top guns to crush Malacañang, 85-72, and complete a two-game sweep of the 3rd UNTV Cup Finals on Tuesday at Smart Araneta Coliseum.

Though former PBA player Don Camaso got injured early in the first quarter, the Magis went on to duplicate their 2013 win as John Hall and Ariel Capus provided enough firepower. Judiciary also took Game 1, 89-71.

Hall led the Magis with 22 points but it was Capus who made the difference with his all-around performance—19 points, 9 rebounds, four assists, two steals and two blocks. He was later named Most Valuable Player.

Meanwhile, PBA great Allan Caidic sizzled for 21 points to help Team Skywalker score a 102-94 win over UNTV Selection in a fund-raising exhibition game for the ailing PBA icon Samboy Lim.
