Lyceum jins capture 4 gold medals

LYCEUM fighters stole the show in the recent Meralco/MVPSF New Face of the Year taekwondo championships by bagging four gold medals—two each in the senior men’s and senior women’s (advance) divisions.

Flyweight Samuel Pamintuan whipped UP’s Sheraz Hussain and bantamweight Joseph Chua toppled Baguio’s Alfritz Arevalo in the men’s competition while finweight Louise Gimena beat FEU’s Ma. Beatrice Galvez and flyweight Marielle Ranas topped SCTTC’s Laureena Rodriguez in the women’s group.

Emilio Aguinaldo College and University of the East also shared tournament honors with two victories each.

Lightweight Clarice Lausin, who nipped teammate Angelica Cabaobo,  and middle/heavyweight Danielle Sacbibit, who bested Mapua’s Bonna Magcalayao triumphed for EAC.
