NLEX, Meralco whip big guns
KWAME Alexander fired 28 points, grabbed 12 rebounds and earned a new lease on his PBA life after leading NLEX to a 113-102 decision of Alaska that snapped the losing streak of the Road Warriors in the Governors’ Cup at Mall of Asia Arena last night.
With his replacement already in town, Alexander gave coach Boyet Fernandez and management a lot of reason to stick with him as the Road Warriors survived the loss of a 12-point halftime lead before battling back from 13 down in the third quarter to prevail.

Alexander scored his last nine points in the fourth quarter like Mac Cardona and the Road Warriors’ defense held in the stretch as the Aces fired just 10 points inside the final eight minutes and lost a 92-91 lead.
“I am just happy that we got this one,” said Fernandez, who admitted that Joshua Dollard had planed in to replace Alexander.
