HOW many players does it take to stop a player standing above seven feet?

Apparently, Tim Cone found the solution.

Star Hotshots’ head coach saw to it he would put three big men, playing in intervals a la baseball pitchers, on Liam McMorrow.

Apparently, it worked as McMorrow never asserted his dominance on the Hotshots.

Cone put in Mick Pennisi as his starter, Yousef Taha as his reliever, and Rafi Reavis as his closer.

“We were prepared for McMorrow,” Cone said as his Hotshots ripped the Energy apart, 117-89, Sunday at Smart Araneta Coliseum. “First it was Mick, then Yousef, then Raffy, they made themselves ready.”

Cone admitted they had their sights on McMorrow who averaged 27.5 points per game.

McMorrow finished with 23 points and 12 rebounds but only scored on seven field goals. The rest of his points came from the foul line.

“We studied a lot of videos on him and we were very impressed,” Cone said.
