Parks goes undrafted, gets invite to Mavs’ summer league team
Sixty names were called in the 2015 NBA Draft, yet there wasn’t any mention of the name Bobby Ray Parks Jr.
After working out with Utah Jazz, Boston Celtics, Brooklyn Nets, and Dallas Mavericks, the son of seven-time PBA Best Import Bobby Parks was left undrafted Friday (Manila time) in the annual rookie selection at Barclays Center.
Article continues after this advertisementPlayer agent Charlie Dy said on Twitter that Parks had a chance to be taken by the Mavs at number 52, but Dallas ultimately went with Indian giant Satnam Singh.
The 7-foot-2 Singh was the first Indian-born player to be drafted in the NBA.
Parks, though, will still have a crack at his NBA dream, as the Mavs gave him an invite to join the team’s summer league squad. AU
