Fajardo named Best Player of PBA Governors’ Cup
June Mar Fajardo once again stamped his class in the 2015 PBA Governors’ Cup.
The Cebuano giant was named the Best Player of the Conference on Sunday, his third time winning the plum after bagging the award in the 2014 and 2015 Philippine Cups.

Garnering 1,134 votes, Fajardo ran away with the title after getting 393 points from stats, 495 media votes, 96 player votes, and 150 votes from the PBA.
The reigning MVP averaged 17.8 points, 11.6 rebounds, 1.2 blocks, 0.8 assists, and 0.5 steals in the season-ending conference, as well as leading the Beermen to their second Finals appearance in the 40th season.

He will replicate the feat of his mentor Danny Ildefonso, who won back-to-back MVPs in 2000 and 2001.

Fajardo edged Terrence Romeo of GlobalPort (662 votes), San Miguel teammate Marcio Lassiter (519 votes), NLEX’s Asi Taulava (345 points), Ginebra’s Japeth Aguilar (342 votes), and Talk ‘N Text’s Jayson Castro (326 votes) for the award. CFC
