Dubai just might be the venue for Nonito Donaire Jr.’s grand comeback.

This shaped up after Top Rank chief Bob Arum bared his plan to put up a card in the Middle East that could include Donaire, who will stake his claim for the WBA super bantamweight title held by Briton Scott Quigg.

“When we find their actual budget, we’ll determine which fights but the Donaire fight they want with Quigg and maybe Gilberto Ramirez and Arthur Abraham. So we’ll have to figure that out,” Arum told BoxingScene.com

Donaire stepped up his bid for a title fight against Quigg after he declared that he’s willing to fly to England to fight the champion in his home turf.

Quigg’s promoter Eddie Hearn reportedly sought a unification fight against Cuban Guillermo Rigondeaux, who took the WBO version of the title from Donaire in 2013.

“I’m very interested in that fight with Quigg. Hopefully, we can make that happen,” Donaire told the website. “He’s an incredible champion and I always want to face the best out there.”

Donaire, who’s on the upswing following two straight KO victories, said the fight could be held either November or December.

“I’m just focusing on that right now, committing my mind to it regardless if it does happen or not because I know if it does happen, I’ll need to be at 100 percent,” he added.
