St. John, CPU tossers gain Shakey’s GVL semis

ST. JOHN Institute and Central Philippine U swept their divisions to lead the Final Four cast in the Shakey’s Girls Volleyball League Western Visayas leg at Iloilo Doctors’ College gym in Iloilo City last Tuesday. The SJI spikers toppled St. Joseph, 25-19, 25-13; Roberto H. Tirol NH, 25-20, 25-14; St. La Salle, 25-20, 25-16; and St. Robert, 25-12, 25-15, to top Pool A while CPU bested Bacolod Tay Tung High, 25-17, 25-19; Sun Yat Sen High, 25-19, 25-9; San Joaquin, 25-15, 25-21; and Living Stones, 25-10, 25-10, to rule Pool B.
