‘Don’t cry,’ Ronda Rousey tells Bethe Correia after 34-sec KO
Anything you say against Ronda Rousey will be used against you.
That was learned the hard way by her challenger Bethe Correia who was knocked out by Rousey in 34-seconds of the first round of their match during UFC 190 in Brazil on Sunday.
Article continues after this advertisementDuring the post-fight press conference, Rousey revealed that after rendering Correia unconscious in the UFC bantamweight title fight, she had a perfect drop the mic moment.
“I said the exact same thing she was saying to me during the weigh-ins,” Rousey said, recalling how Correia kept screaming “Don’t cry!” at her face during their weigh-in.
“So, I turned around after I knocked her out and said ‘Don’t cry’,” Rousey said.

“I don’t regret anything. Everything I said was very sincere. It was my point of view and what I believed in. I think I did a great job. The event was wonderful. It wasn’t the result that I wanted, but I think everything that I said was something that I thought,” Correia said.
