NU drubs UP, stays unscathed to start Spikers’ Turf q’finals

National University continued its domination in Spikers’ Turf Collegiate Conference, drubbing University of the Philippines, 26-24, 25-19, 26-24 Monday at the Arena in San Juan.

The Bulldogs stayed at the top of the round-robin quarterfinals with their 4-0 slate.

In the quarterfinals, teams carry over their elimination round records minus the wins over eliminated squads.

Bryan Bagunas steered NU with 12 points, all from spikes, while Madzlan Gampong also had 12 markers in the victory.

Wendell Miguel topped UP with 16 kills, while Alfred Valbuena got 12 as the Fighting Maroons fell to 1-2. CFC
