Milo Little Olympics fires off Friday in Cagayan de Oro
Aimed at providing young school-based athletes an opportunity to showcase their wares, the 28th Milo Little Olympics rolls off with the Mindanao leg in Cagayan De Oro Friday.
After Cagayan de Oro, the competition shifts to Sta. Cruz, Laguna for the South Luzon leg from Aug. 28 to 30, before heading to Baguio for the North Luzon meet (Sept. 4 to 6). Iloilo will host the Visayas leg (Sept. 11 to 13) while the national finals will be in Sta. Cruz, Laguna (Oct. 23 to 25).
“We are expecting even more spectators and sports enthusiasts to gather and experience the games,” said Milo’s Robbie De Vera at the launch of the event yesterday at Shakey’ Malate.
Organizers added arnis and karatedo to the roster of sports that already include athletics, badminton, basketball, chess, football, gymnastics, lawn tennis, swimming, table tennis, taekwondo, volleyball, sepak takraw and scrabble. Cedelf P. Tupas
