La Salle and National College of Business and Arts (NCBA) try to stay in the semifinal race when they battle separate foes in the Spikers’ Turf Collegiate Conference Wednesday at Filoil Flying V Arena in San Juan.

The Wildcats aim for a share of fourth spot against also-ran St. Benilde at 3 p.m., while the Green Archers brace for a tough fight with unbeaten National University at 5 p.m.

Quarterfinal leaders Ateneo and NU have already secured the first two Final Four seats, leaving La Salle, NCBA and idle Emilio Aguinaldo College to fight for the last two.

The Wildcats showed they can give big teams a fight as the newcomers gave UAAP champion Ateneo a big scare before losing, 31-33, 25-18, 25-12, 25-21, just two days ago.

NCBA aces Paul John Domingo, Jason Canlas and guest player Reyson Fuentes hope to lead the Wildcats to a 3-3 tie with the Generals.

The Archers, meanwhile, eye a fourth win to keep solo third. A loss will send the Archers into a three-way tie with the Generals and the Wildcats.

The Archers will need to serve and block well to have a chance against the Bulldogs.
