Trash-talking is common in MMA, it’s vital to get riled before fighters beat each other up.

Holly Holm, however, won’t dish out the testy soundbites people crave for as she gets ready to fight UFC Women’s Bantamweight Champion Ronda Rousey.

“I have no smack talk,” Holm said. “If I have anything to say to Ronda … I have nothing but respect for her. She’s done a lot for this division. She’s done a lot of women’s MMA fighting in general. She’s done a lot for women’s sports in general, so nothing but respect.”

Holm, an ex-boxer, wasn’t in the conversation as Rousey’s next opponent but the UFC put her in place of Miesha Tate as “Rowdy’s” title challenger on UFC 195.

UFC president Dana White told Los Angeles Times people know what happened in the previous two Rousey-Tate fights and a bout against Holm would be “more intriguing.”

“She’s really becoming a well-rounded fighter,” Holm, said of Rousey. “At first (everybody said), ‘Oh she’s just going to armbar everybody.’ I think she’s showing everybody that she’s got a very well-rounded game.”

Holm sounds like a person who respects every opponent, unlike Bethe Correia who everybody knows what got into when she faced Rousey.
