CDO bets pace Mindanao regional
Del Monte bets Jelbert Gamolo and Noel Langgamin each scored a one-over-par 73 to emerge joint leaders of the men’s division in the first round of the Mindanao Regional Golf Tournament at Pueblo de Oro Golf and Country Club in Cagayan de Oro Wednesday.
Gamolo and Langgamin, members of the Del Monte squad that regularly participates in the PAL Interclub, engaged in an early shootout with exchange of birdies. They lead Jovencio Lusterio, who shot 75.
Mel Cubillo, also of Del Monte, was at solo fourth with a 77 while teammate Julius Bautista made a 78.
In the ladies’ division, Harmie Constantino holed in a couple of birdies in the last four holes for a four-under-par 68 and a seven-stroke lead over local ace Pamela Mariano and Kristine Torralba, Constantino’s teammate from Villamor.
