Pacquiao keeps mum on 2016 plans

Boxing icon and Sarangani Rep. Manny Pacquiao on Wednesday said he is waiting for the “right time” before declaring his plans for the 2016 national elections.

“Kung sino ‘yung susuportahan ko this coming election, I will announce naman. Isasabay-sabay ko na siguro kung sino ang susuportahan ko, sa pag-file at kung ano man,” Pacquiao, who was a guest at the Google Street View event in Marriott, said.

Pacquiao, who is rumored to run for senator in next year’s polls, said he would wait until the filing of candidacy in October before making any declaration on which presidential bet he will support.

“May time pa. Mahaba pa. ‘Pag nag-file ako saka ako mag-a-announce na candidate ako. Sa ngayon, hindi ko na siguro ibibigay ‘yung percentage [sa pag takbo ko],” Pacquiao said.

“Siguro in the right time pa ‘yun. I cannot say that I’m supporting this candidate or I’m not running yet. Iba kasi ‘yung ligaw—‘yung kausapin, natural naman ‘yun,” he added.

Pacquiao said has always been focused on delivering basic services to his constituents.

“‘Yung plano kung ano magandang gawin. Ang sakin ‘yung iniisip ko para sa kapakanan ng sambayanang Pilipino,” he added.
