PNP posts 3rd straight victory

PHILIPPINE National Police rolled to its third straight win in Group A eliminations of the 4th UNTV Cup by downing National Housing Authority, 78-66, on Sunday even as Malacañang barged into the win column at Ynares Sports Arena in Pasig City.

Antonio Tolentino, barely 5-foot-7, scored 11 points in the payoff period as PNP finally put away the challenge of the Builders.

Four other PNP players scored in double figures with Ollan Omiping—the team’s leading scorer—chipping in 11 points.

The Malacañang Patriots held Senate’s playing-coach Kenneth Duremdes to just 12 points on the way to scoring an 88-74 win—their first in two outings.

Metro Manila Development Authority improved to 2-1 in Group B with an 82-60 drubbing of House of Representatives (1-1).
