Far Eastern University coach Nash Racela doesn’t mind that some recent games have been a real challenge for his Tamaraws.

“Struggles will always help us improve, so we welcome that,” said Racela after the Tamaraws bested Ateneo, 66-61, in UAAP men’s basketball last Sunday.

The Tamaraws hope to impose their might, though, when they shoot for the solo lead versus a rejuvenated University of the Philippines today.

“We have to be more focused on our game plan,” said FEU stalwart Mac Belo.

Game time is 4 p.m. at Smart Araneta Coliseum.

Just like the Maroons, University of the East expects a better run in the second round as the Warriors try to crash into the top four versus La Salle at 2 p.m.

A UE win will put the Warriors and the Archers into a tie for fourth at 4-5. The Warriors are fresh off a 52-47 upset—its second—of the National U Bulldogs Saturday.

“We just have to work our way up,” said UE coach Derrick Pumaren.
