Top seeds look to dominate anew as PFL quarters unfolds

MANILA, Philippines – Only eight teams remain as the Philippine Futsal League (PFL) enters its homestretch.

The quarterfinal stage, which kicks off Sunday at the Rizal Memorial Stadium, pits the top two teams per group in a crossover basis.

Manhur FC, the No.1 seed in Group A, will do battle against Group C second-seed The Gentleman’s Club in the opening game at 9 a.m.

Powerhouse Pasargad FC, Group D’s top seed, tangles with Group B’s No. 2 Manila FC in the ensuing match.

A pair of number one seeds Don Bosco United FC (Group B) and Pars FC (Group C) strut their stuff against lower ranked Eagles United (Group D) and PWU-Men’s respectively in the nightcap.

The winner of Manhur FC–The Gentlemen’s Club tiff meets the victor of Don Bosco United–Eagles United while the winner of the Pasargad-Manila FC match goes against the winner of Pars FC-PWU Men’s in the semifinals.

Meanwhile, teams that finished in the bottom third of their respective groups figured in a plate semifinals match with Lions FC winning against Legazpi FC via default while Schwarz FC dominating Atelier FC.

The 3rd PFL, organized by Futsal Mundial, is supported by the PFF and the PSC with major sponsors Mizuno and Floor Center.
