UAAP cancels Sunday events due to Typhoon ‘Lando’

The UAAP has cancelled all events scheduled on Sunday due to Typhoon Lando.

The league announced the cancellation of its basketball, beach volleyball and table tennis games in an advisory on Saturday night.

In the men’s basketball tournament, University of the Philippines and University of the East were scheduled to battle it out at 2 p.m. while La Salle and Far Eastern University of the Philippines face off at 4 p.m. at the Mall of Asia Arena.

In its latest weather bulletin, Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) has put Metro Manila under Signal No. 2 with Typhoon Lando expected to make landfall on Sunday.

No new schedule of the cancelled games has been announced.
