UP Pep Squad bags 3 medals in Cheerleading World Championships

Team Philippines, represented by the University of the Philippines Pep Squad, reaped medals in the 2015 Cheerleading World Championships in Berlin on Nov. 21-22.

The UP Pep Squad bagged the silver medal in the Cheer All Female category with a total score of 329.5, as per the CWC 2015 website.

Japan won the gold medal with 497.5 points while Germany got the bronze with 310 points.

The UP Pep Squad also collected a couple of bronze medals after placing third in the Cheerdance Doubles category, which was again ruled by Japan, and in the Small Groups Mixed event where Thailand came up with the best performance.

UP, a perennial champion in the UAAP Cheerdance Competition, garnered 207.5 points in the Cheerdance Doubles and wound up with a total score of 228.5 in the Small Groups Mixed.
