Armed with twice-to-beat bonuses, top seed Emilio Aguinaldo College and No. 2 Perpetual Help try to set up a title duel as they clash with separate rivals in the 91st NCAA men’s volleyball tournament.

The Generals, who finished No. 1 at the end of the elimination round, set out to reassert themselves over the San Beda Red Lions in the 12 noon clash for the first finals berth.

A win by San Beda will forge a do-or-die duel, but the Generals aren’t expected to take any chances with their formidable roster led by Howard Mojica.

Perpetual Help will face third seed St. Benilde in the other semifinal duel at 2 p.m. with the Altas also sealing a finals berth with a win.

A spot in the finals will also be at stake in the women’s division today as defending champion Arellano tangles with St. Benilde in the stepladder semifinals.

The Lady Blazers turned back the Lady Altas 16-25, 25-19, 25-11, 25-21, in the first stepladder semifinal Tuesday to earn the right to face the Lady Chiefs.

Waiting for the survivor of the duel are the San Sebastian Lady Stags who nailed an outright finals seat after sweeping the elimination round.
