Reyes didn’t put too much anything on the play that happened late in the second set aside from it being a simple block and nothing more.

“Part nang game yon (That’s part of the game), I guess. Kahit teammates ko nasi-single block siya (Even my teammates are able to block her),” the graduating Reyes said after the Lady Spikers’ 25-22, 25-14, 25-18 victory.

“Masasabi ko lang wala dapat lagyan ng issue doon (There’s no issue there). We’re friends ako na nagsasabi sa inyo (I can tell you that). Wag na tayo mag-create ng any issue kasi ayoko rin naman na magkaroon pa (Let’s not create any issue because I don’t want any issue stemming from it).”

The 21-year-old Reyes anchored La Salle’s defense that limited Valdez’s to measly 11 points, her worst scoring output this season.
