An old rivalry will be rekindled at WWE Live Manila when John Cena battles the Big Show on September 9 at Mall of Asia Arena.

After Tuesday’s shock announcement of the 15-time world champion’s inclusion to the already stacked roster of wrestlers coming to PH’s shores, the face that runs the place will now be bracing against the World’s Largest Athlete when they return to the country in about a month.

Show was just in the country last Tuesday in a one-day promotional tour, treating fans to a meet-and-greet session to hype up the event.

Cena and Show has had numerous encounters in the past, most memorably their match at WrestleMania XX for the United States Championship where Cena made himself a legitimate star, lifting the then-500-pound giant for an Attitude Adjustment.
