UST, FEU drop foes in Spikers’ Turf

UAAP forces University of Santo Tomas and Far Eastern University took down their respective NCAA rivals in the Collegiate Conference of the Spikers’ Turf Wednesday at Philsports Arena.

The Tiger Spikers went the distance against the Red Spikers but the men in black-and-gold had the louder roar taking the 25-14, 24-26, 23-25, 25-22, 15-13 victory.

Jomaru Amagan had 25 points for the 2-0 Tiger Spikers while Manuel Medina added 20.

Jan Paglinawan led the 0-2 Red Spikers with 17 points.

FEU took its first win against the still winless College of St. Benilde, 25-17, 26-28, 25-15, 25-21, as the Tamaraws improved to 1-1.

John Paul Bugaoan led the Tamaraws with 20 points while Gregorio Dolor added 19.

Johnvic De Guzman had 15 points for the 0-2 Blazers.
