Stallions snap Saints’ 7-game win streak

/ 05:02 AM September 12, 2016

MANUEL L. Quezon University pulled off the biggest upset so far in the National Athletic Association of Schools, Colleges and Universities (Naascu) men’s basketball, stuning erstwhile unbeaten St. Clare College, 83-82, yesterday at RTU Gym.

Although considered one of the pre-tournament contenders, the Stallions entered the game the overwhelming underdogs against the Saints, who had won their first seven matches.

But MLQU went up against a disjointed St. Clare side as it set the tone of the game and kept the Saints in check with its dogged defense.
