Jom Sollano admits he felt he had an incomplete college career after Letran bowed out of the Final Four this NCAA Season 92.

The defending champions failed to recapture their thunder under new coach Jeff Napa and stumbled to an even 9-9 record, tied for fifth place with JRU.

Though the Cebuano big man felt he did all he could do to contribute for Letran in his second season, he still felt those were not enough.

“Medyo bitin kasi nakakamiss maglaro sa Letran at makalaro ang teammates ko,” said Sollano, who was a transferee from University of Southern Philippines. “Binigay ko naman lahat, pero siguro may kulang. Ginawa ko ang best ko para masabi ko sa sarili ko na matapos man ang taon, wala akong regrets.”

The 6-foot-4 big man admits there are still parts of his game that he needs to improve if he wants to get to the next level. And he’s eyeing a stint in the PBA D-League to further hone his craft.

“Sa ngayon, D-League muna ako. Feel ko kulang pa, papahinog pa ako ng konti. Kailangan ko mag-step up para sa next level,” he said.

Sollano, though, said that he won’t bat an eye in case the Gilas Pilipinas program comes knocking on his door.

“Willing naman ako kasi malaking opportunity yan para sa akin, lalo na at dalawang taon lang ako nakalaro, di pa ako masyado na-expose,” he said. “Kung bibigyan ako ng pagkakataon, gagawin ko.”
